What is Cry of India?
Cry of India is a Christian non-profit child sponsorship organization dedicated to feeding and educating impoverished children in India.

How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
Your monthly sponsorship of $39 provides education, a safe environment, a hot meal each school day in addition to a health checkup and personal development training.
How do I make my payment?
Payments can be made by credit card/debit card. You can set up your credit card or debit card to be automatically charged. This can be done through our portal once you register to sponsor a child.
If you desire to pay by check, payment can be mailed to our office.
If you wish to make an annual payment you can do so by credit card or by check.
How long is my commitment?
Indefinite until you desire to discontinue due to change of circumstances. Please contact our office.
Is my giving tax deductible?
Yes, your giving is tax deductible. Your giving will be receipted by Calcutta Mercy.
What percentage of my sponsorship actually goes to India?
85% of your monthly giving goes directly to India for the support of your sponsored child.
How do I sponsor a child?
You can sponsor a child by going directly to our sponsorship page, click on the link, choose a child, and complete the financial commitment form.
Can I write my sponsored child?
Absolutely! Once you register your account and select a child, you will have the ability through your portal to write your child.
Will my child write to me?
The children usually write back about twice per year. For further information please call our office at (317) 214-7458.
Can I send gifts or packages?
No. Unfortunately, customs and duty problems make it impossible to send packages, so we request that you not send them.
